IBS has been the first and only Vietnamese EPC Contractor capable of deploying full scope of EPC from Engineering, Procurement, Installation, Commissioning of the largest scale wind power plant in Southeast Asia at the awarded time.

Covering from a fleet of oversize and overweight transport vehicles to sky-high crawler crane, IBS’s equipment allow he team to handle mega-size projects spreading from offshore to remote highlands. In addition, possessing a unique fleet of mobile cranes and experienced engineers enable IBS to implement any sky-high project confidently and safely with IBS’s extraordinary capabilities.
The project was difficult to execute not only because of its mega-scale and tight timeline but also because the facility is located on an extremely difficult to maneuver site. Sited 700 – 900 meter-high on Tay Nguyen highlands, having only two routes for transport, 570 km from SITV Phu My International Port and 321 km from Cam Ranh Port with a tremendous bill of materials, equipment & supplies to manage.
The logistics required capacity in streamlining procurement to keep up withthe progress of stakeholders; capacity in supply via planning, optimizing routes; employing heavy tractors and lifting equipment; while building and improving new routes due to remote areas and lack of transport infrastructure. Because of the humid tropical plateau climate with a rainy season from April to September, the weather and climate also affected site planning and transportation. Technical elements of concrete foundations must be ensured while weather conditions hinder the construction, filling and deploying on schedule.

Aiming to complete constructing the first of a three-phase wind project by June 2020, we hailed the milestone in an “incredible adventure,” achieved through months of close collaboration between our client, partners and subcontractors,coupled with the extraordinary commitment of the teams, more than 300 people at peak of activities, to overcome complicated logistics and extreme climatic condition
